Our Solar System  The Solar System includes Sun, Meteorite, Astroids, Planets, Dwarf planets and the Kuiper belt. The Planets There were 9 planets in our Solar System. The 9th planet, Pluto, was discovered as a dwarf planet by a group of scientists at the Lowell Observatory including Clyde Tombaugh. Dwarf Planets Dwarf planets are small planets. I dwarf planet in the asteroid belt. Its name is Ceres. Most of the dwarf planets are TNOs (trans-neptunian object). Interesting Facts The national bird of Trinidad, the Scarlet ibis lives mostly in the Caroni swamp (Central Trinidad). The exotic birds plumage turns red when it matures, and is brow, during its tounger days. The entire adult plumage brilliant scarlet red, with the exception
